How the Humble and Meek Shall Inherit the Earth
(Revised 5-10-2008)
The "meek" (who are the humble, gentle, peaceful and faithful majority of people in the world) shall indeed inherit the earth, because they honor real and true spiritual values that have to do with universal love, peace, freedom, mutual respect, understanding, tolerance, forgiveness, charity, and pacifism.
Unfortunately, the meek cannot inherit the earth as long as arrogantly proud and militant people seek worldly power and fight and kill to rule the world. Prophecy cannot be fulfilled as long as a relative few unfaithful, aggressive, militant religious bigots and hypocrites have the influence and power to cause so much conflict, division, trouble, violence, death and destruction in the world. And they will have influence and power as long as their spiritually blind flocks continue to support them, do their bidding, and give them power.
Fortunately, as all the greatest prophets foresaw and foretold, there will be a divine intervention and judgment that will, in due time, render bad, divisive leadership powerless, and contrite in the face of truth.
I deliver that promised judgment. Even though my work is not perfect because it is written by a son of man who is only human and not infallible, I am a genuine witness and servant of God. And what is expressed in the five books I’ve written under the pen name of Joseph J. Adamson and published by iUniverse, Inc. between 2002 and 2006, some of which is highlighted, revised, improved and somewhat expanded on this Internet site in 2008, is, in essence and spirit, the prophesied message and judgment from the Lord God and the Divine Spirit of truth.
I use terminology referring to the Judeo-Christian religions because Christians comprise the largest population on earth, and the next largest population is Muslims, who are supposed to honor the teachings of Jesus according to their prophet Muhammad. But I favor no religion over others, and I advocate a reformation of all religions, particularly the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) to bring them all back to their roots and in tune with the core universal values and principles on which they were originally founded.
Even though some of what I have written is admittedly my personal opinion, the crux of what I deliver to you is the prophesied judgment and the authoritative, final word fulfilling all genuine religious prophecies and expressing divine will and intent regarding the religious and political organizations and activities of the people of the planet Earth.
It is no wonder that my work has so far been rejected, though, as was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah and the Christ Jesus. Because even though it fulfills real prophecies (as distinguished from symbolic prophecies which were not meant to be taken literally), it is not what anyone expected.
That, however, is no wonder either, because many prophecies have been grossly misinterpreted and misunderstood due to the ethnocentric and egocentric notions of religious men who have historically and traditionally had a patriarchal, theocratic mind set that has very little to do with God.
The trouble is that most of humanity has the wrong idea about what God is. The tendency has been and still is for men to think that God is like a man, and some even think God is an almighty, omnipotent, ethereal superman. They do not know the real God, and part of the reason for that is because some scriptures tend to ascribe personhood to God for lack of a better way to describe it. For while God is indeed almighty and omnipotent in certain ways, it is because God is the Divine Light-Energy-Source of our existence, the omnipresent Supreme Consciousness, and the primordial "Word" which was in the beginning and is made flesh in all of us.
Many people are also confused about God’s "Will." Some think it is whatever occurs, but while God’s angels can and do perform miracles in certain situations and under certain circumstances, in many cases that is not possible and much of what occurs is not "God’s Will." Much of what occurs is due to the actions of man or nature, and it sometimes has nothing to do with God.
Those who repeat the Christian Lord’s Prayer appeal to God, saying, "your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." But that is asking that God’s will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. It does not mean that God’s will is now and has been done on earth, because it has not. Man’s iniquity and vain folly has made quite a mess of things.
Even so, God does answer prayers when possible. In fact, the power of prayer is significant. But, as the Christ Jesus said, prayers work best when made in private to our God who hears in private, and in secret to our God who hears in secret. That is why Jesus also advised that we "not pray for the ears of men, as hypocrites do." (And by the way, speaking of private prayer in secret, it is worthy of note that recent scientific research reveals that it actually works, which is why Jesus recommended it. In his book Prayer Is Good Medicine, Larry Dossey, M.D., cites such research and also reveals that the religion of the person praying does not matter. In fact, it matters not if they are religious at all. What matters is that we pray to God, who "hears" all.)
I believe prayers work because they are "heard" on four different levels and in four major ways. One is through God’s overarching, omnipresent Supreme Consciousness, which is related to the collective subconsciousness of all humanity. Another is through God’s angels, who do respond if and when it is possible (even though much of the time it is not possible due to conditions beyond their control). The third way is through our own subconsciousness, because prayer acts as suggestion to our subconsciousness. It acts as a bio-computer, and it can play an important part in manifesting our reality as it unfolds before us. That is why positive thinking, positive affirmations and positive imaging are so very important. It does not ensure positive outcomes, but it most certainly helps and often enables us to achieve them. And the fourth way is that prayer also tempers our conscious ego, because prayer acknowledges and affirms that there is a power above and beyond our ego, which tends to think of itself in self-important and self-aggrandizing ways. (It also likes to judge, and play god.)
Unfortunately, spiritually blind men do not realize any of that. They even confuse God’s Will with their own will. They believe they are good judges of what is good and what is evil, and they even think they know what should be done about it. But they don’t realize they unwittingly indulge in the "forbidden fruit" of the mind. That is, they indulge in judgmental egotism, and thus they play god-as-patriarch and theocrat, when they actually betray God/Allah and they know not what they do.
However, in due time the message from the Spirit of truth will be accepted and spread all over the world. It will liberate humanity from all those proud and aggressive people who want to judge and rule over us in the name of God and Country, and it will establish the new covenant of God with humanity.
Because I say such things, some liberal, secular critics claim that I am myself a theocrat. But nothing could be further from the truth. The God I witnessed has nothing to do with theocracy, and wants us to have complete religious freedom and freedom from religious bigotry. I believe we must have secular government, with separation of church and state, and government must respect all legitimate religions and all agnostics and atheists as well. I discuss things in religious terms only because Jews, Christians and Muslims must be corrected, for God’s sake, and for the sake of humanity.
Humanity is divided and in conflict and many people suffer from the terrible tribulation we have been going through, because some people fight for power over each other in the name of religion and/or patriotism. They choose the way that seems right to man, but leads to conflict, division and destruction.
The message I deliver establishes that all human beings are equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, which include the rights to life; liberty; equality; public safety; justice; public education (including higher education); universal public health care; international and domestic tranquility; fair, equitable and adequate compensation for their labor; prosperity; adequate social security income for those who actually need it (so that no one suffers from poverty, hunger, or homeless-ness); and real freedom in the pursuit of happiness. And this will be easy to accomplish when everyone shares the wealth fairly, and when the wealthy pay a reasonable and fair share of taxes.
The message will establish equality of religions and nations and states. It will correct those who are mis-guided and in conflict because they fight for power over each other. It will make the borders of men far less important. It will stop, and from thereon prevent, rule by the wealthiest few. It proposes a better way to choose leadership. It enables humble and blessed peacemakers to bring us all together, reconcile those who have been in conflict, address grievances, and ensure justice, equity, equality, peace, and tranquility. It enables governments to actually be of, by and for all the people, represent and protect all the people, and respect all religions. In other words, it enables the humble and meek to unite, inherit the earth, and do what needs to be done.
The very basic crux of the message is true to the core universal values and principles that all religions and nations and states should honor and abide by.
That is, we should treat all other people -- other individuals, races, religions, religious sects, cultures, nations and political organizations -- as we would want to be treated if we were them. That is the golden rule and the universal divine imperative. And the message fully explains how and why so many political and religious leaders have ignored that.
There are other core universal values and principles related to the universal divine imperative, and even though they may seem unrealistically idealistic in today's world, they will in time be common humanitarian values. They include the ideals of unconditional love and universal peace and freedom. They are about caring for and respecting one another, and about compassion, charity, humility, inclusiveness, forgiveness, tolerance, and pacifism. And when they are honored by all political and religious leadership and all other influential people, they will create harmony and peace in the world.
These values, principles and ideals are resonant with the wisdom shared throughout history by all truly enlightened teachers of divine, eternal, universal truths. All religions should honor them because they are innate and self-evident truths, as we all know deep in our hearts and souls.
That is why there will be a reformation of religions, because all religions and religious sects should respect each other, and they should honor, abide by and teach the universal divine imperative as the core value and principle, just as their founders and wisest followers advised.
As I said, religion must be separate from government, and government must equally respect all religions that honor, abide by and teach the universal divine imperative as the core value and principle.
Government should, however, have the right to act to deal appropriately with harmful organizations that claim to be religious even though they ignore the universal divine imperative, divide and alienate their members from main-stream society, and advocate speech and/or action that is pejorative or detrimental or harmful to others. After all, religion should be a uniting, peaceful, loving influence, not the opposite, and government should be able to deal appropriately with false religious movements that are not. We, the people, should not tolerate harmful organizations or parties or sects that divide and alienate people, lead them astray, and pit them against others. Hatemongers should be dealt with.
However, when we give government power, we must ensure that government is good, just and fair, and that it is truly of, by and for the people. And, in order to have good government, all citizens must be enabled to have equal voice and equal opportunity to freely choose who they want to represent them at the highest level of their national and state government.
That is why there must be a reformation of government, because we do not now have equal voice or equal opportunity to do that. Our choices are very limited, often difficult, and not really very free.
In order to have equal voice and equal opportunity, and to ensure that the vast majority of people are truly represented, citizens should be able to exercise the right to name their choices of leaders by write-in ballot every two years. The results of such honest and free elections would determine the membership of executive councils comprised of twelve people, six men and six women, who would serve as the guiding authority of the executive branch of national and state governments.
Executive Councils thus elected would replace partisan, monarchial chief executives, and put an end to partisan political conflict and division. It would put an end to competition for power, and abuse of power.
To ensure equality and fairness, there should be no paid political advertisements or campaigns. All political advocacy should be presented as public service announcements made in public forums, and broadcast time and print space should be provided free of charge by the media. Advocates could recommend potential candidates and list their good works, but political advocacy should be very brief and positive, and offensive negativity should be prohibited, especially if it is regarding those with opposing views. The people should consider the merits of all positive points of view, and then choose accordingly, and freely.
However, the people could and should try to draft good people who do not seek office and have no advocates. In fact, the ideal would be for the people to be represented by those who are wise but modest, humble, unassuming and unpretentious. And it is crucial that everyone ignore all the self-important, aggressive, contentious, partisan ideologues who have divided us and fostered so much hate and conflict.
But, even though it would be best to draft the best people who are humble and do not seek power, the people would be free and able to name whoever has wisdom they greatly admire and respect. And, of those named and nominated by the people, the top six men and top six women who accept the responsibility would be elected, and they could serve on the executive council as long as the people re-elect them.
The executive council of six men and six women chosen and elected by the most people could then choose, by consensus, a facilitator and a spokesperson. But no council member should have any more authority or decision-making power than the others. Decisions should be made by consensus, ideally, and otherwise by at least two-thirds majority.
This system of choosing leadership and making executive decisions would put an end to the conflict and division caused and perpetuated by partisan politics and competition for the throne of a chief executive head of state. It would stop the monarchial/presidential abuse of power. It can provide government that is as close as possible to government of, by and for the people. And, if the people choose wisely and are not tempted and misguided by divisive influences, we can have a government that unites us and serves us all. (For a full explanation of how and why it would work, read What IS the World Coming To?: A Candid Look at Past, Present and Future Through the Lens of Real Prophecy and Common Sense.)
This would be the fulfillment of real prophecy, for it is God's will that all human beings be equal joint heirs to God's new world kingdom, where the people shall all "share the throne" of each nation and state by exercising their right to free choice, and where only the Holy One in heaven reigns Supreme over all.
Of course, in a thousand years the people of Earth may come to forget or ignore what had produced universal peace and prosperity in the world for so long, and new false prophets and deceptive, divisive leaders may seek and rise to power, leading their blind flocks to believe that their idea of religion and/or their political ideology is superior.
But, they will enjoy power for but a short time, because this work will quickly re-emerge even stronger. It will remind the people of the core universal truths, and equality will quickly be restored. For by that time humanity will be far more advanced, not only physically and materially, but spiritually, and from then on the people of Earth will never again be tempted and divided by deluded, power-hungry, egocentric men, or by evil that masquerades as good.
So, you see, the truth is good news, because the future will not be as some pessimistic and cynical fiction writers have portrayed it in their books and movies. It will not be a perfect or heavenly utopia, because we are only human and we learn from our mistakes. But it will be far better than it is now.
The people of Earth will generally be at peace, because all people will be able to live abundantly. Idealism will flourish, and cooperation and collaboration will be the common mode of operation. All national and state governments will ensure and protect the collective equality, safety, education, prosperity, health, well being, welfare, tranquility, and happiness of all the people.
That is the dream that will begin to come true as soon as the message from the Spirit of truth is spread all over the world, and as soon as the people in every country stand up to be counted in favor of establishing this new covenant.
